The real crash-test

On the Bois Blanc Island we set a nice 20 to 30 min/day running routine with our troop composed by Lane, Luke, Sage and Darren.

After a couple of short bike trips with the kids, we finally got into a 10 mile (16 Km) journey from the house to the viewpoint in front of the Mackenac island, to see the bridge between the 2 hands of Michigan.

We had the usual run after breakfast, cooked pasta and grilled vegetables for lunch for the family, and set off for the bike ride. Over the 10 miles we stopped 5 times for fruit loop snacks and drinks. Anna was more tired than the kids! Our ride was a bit heavy due to the road, fully graveled and a bit soft in some points, and that we had a bag with about 10 Kg each. The view was beautiful, the water extra clear and one could see very well the island and the bridge. On our way back, we only stopped twice to drink water and made the second 10 miles in a bit more than 1h. A total of 32 Km: plenty!
