HOW DID I GET HERE?
...
It all started with an opportunity during my bachelor's degree. For the first time I could get an internship in Pamplona, Spain to work on the local river. I got to understand what research is about and that my kind of research deals with water sciences.
WHAT CAN I DO?
...
I enjoy discussing ideas and opinions, and love to receive and give some help at work. I can communicate using a few languages, and during the PhD I got to learn one very useful coding language too. I love going to the field, listening to the river, whistling back to the birds and imagining the arrival of a wild pig while I download a datalogger (to my defense, that really happened). I think of dataloggers as magic boxes containing what we need to solve the mistery. The last few years showed me that I can dig a trench and design and organise my own experiments. I can survive days of consecutive experiment work too, and make tough decisions noone knows how to prepare you for. I can also make many mistakes and have to redo it again - and I can learn each day how to do it better.
HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE?
...
I would like to help preserve water bodies and show to people why this is important.
Water is precious. I would like to have a job that allows me to show to people how we can coexist with nature - help mantain a river clean, avoid waisting water, use water resources efficiently.
